A Whiskery Day

Meet our newest family member. We adopted him from a cat rescue after he wrapped his paws around our necks and melted into our arms. We plan to provide him and our other kitty with a slow introduction. They have smelled each other under the scrap room door without hissing - so far, so good. I think the next thing I will do is feed them on either side of the door and do what is called 'site swapping' by Jackson Galaxy. He has a television show called My Cat From Hell  where he gives advice on how to get two cats to get along. Site swapping involves letting each cat explore the area the other has been in. Both our current kitty and new kitty have sweet dispositions, but we'd like to be on the safe side and make them both comfortable.

Any name suggestions for this handsome fella? He looks like he may have some Maine Coon or Norwegian Forest Cat in him.

  7. I have missed you! Too busy. I do think your kitty has some Norwegian Forest cat in him. My daughter's Tuba is that and he is huge and so pretty. Hope all is well. My fairy garden did well ALL summer. I need to decide what to do with it this winter.
