I was just telling my husband how much I love having the Internet as a source of information and help for DIY projects! Need to know how to put in a zipper? Don't know how to install a lock? Fix a flange when putting in a new toilet? Find a recipe for chocolate sauce? Ashley at Make It~ Love it has a nice post on fusible interfacing, fusible adhesive and fusible web...so if you don't know which to use for your sewing project, check it out.
Here are some ideas of what to do with those wet leaves after breakfast~
- use cooled tea as a final rinse after shampooing your hair
- water plants with cooled tea
- toss used tea leaves in the garden~ my plants love 'em!
- dry used leaves in the sun, then place them in a bowl in the fridge to collect odors
- pour leftover tea in a spray bottle with water and use as a natural cleaner
- toss leftover dried tea leaves on the charcoal/BBQ to keep away mosquitoes, or burn them in an incense holder on the patio
- place a cooled wet teabag on your puffy tired eyelids
- soak in cooled tea to soothe sunburn
Chocolate Sauce~
5 herbal mint teabags
1 cup of heavy cream
2 TB softened butter
6 oz chopped semi sweet chocolate
Place heavy cream in saucepan and heat over low flame until small bubbles form around edge, but do NOT boil. Add teabags and remove from heat. Let cool. Place chocolate in medium sized bowl. Remove teabags from cream, and place pan over heat again. Bring cream just to the boil, then pour over chocolate and stir quickly to melt chocolate pieces. Add softened butter & stir. Serve warm over ice cream, cake, cream puffs, etc.
