Holiday Mojo- Making Cards!

A Terrye French Stamp arrived in the mail from Treasured Times Rubber Stamps. December days seem busy, but evenings are perfect for working on Christmas cards while watching a movie and sipping tea. Here is the card I made using #188-S Santa Takes A Ride;

I used;
  • Liquid Pearls, Inkessentials enamel and Stickles
  • Distress Ink and Zig H2O Pen
  • Recollection and K & Co paper, lunch sack
  • Cuttlebug to emboss
At the Treasured Times blog you can see a variety of ways the Design Team has used this stamp on cards (link above). I also created a greeting card using a Creative Imaginations cherry wood atc. The thin wood atc is perfect for stamping, embossing, or painting. It looks like this when it comes out of the package-
2.5" by 3.5"

I used an Inkadinkadoo Nativity scene stamp and Archival Ink, and trimmed a bit off the atc so it was more square shaped.

I masked off two rectangles on a blank white card using Distress Ink, then misted the inked card with Perfect Pearls spray. Next, I layered the stamped cherry wood piece with other paper and a poinsettia . The number '25' is inked grunge board. There is a bit of raffia tied around the bottom just above the row of small brads.

 On this next one, I used an orange paint chip color sample with my Spellbinders to cut the lacey circle matting for the glittery cupcake.

 I enjoyed masking and inking so much on the Nativity card I decided to do it again! Starting with a blank white card, I masked off two areas then inked and misted. I stamped some brown snowflakes on the card after I removed the mask. I used an acetate die cut with branches and birds on it, as well as some bakery string to finish the card.

The lamp is a piece of painted and stamped grunge board, and the sentiment is adhered with foam to pop it up a bit.

A Christmas candle is a lovely thing; It makes no noise at all, But softly gives itself away; While quite unselfish, it grows small.
