Well, we can just pretend we are in the tropics, right? Ocean breezes, balmy temperatures! Here is a super quick tag card I made using a 'direct to paper' ink method. I cut a blank 5"x 6.5" card in half, and used a 3 by 6 inch tag, a piece of ribbon and various Distress Inks. No need for an ink blending tool yet....you are going to simply drag the ink pad across the tag. It does not need to be 'perfect'.
I decided to make the sky and used my inks in 'rainbow' order. Then I added a bit of twine netting and 3D stickers to complete the scene.
I used my Ranger Ink Blending Tool to add soft yellow coverage to the white card edges. Next, I stamped a greeting inside. It was easy but provided a striking scene!
Love it Shawn! It looks great, love the twine netting!
ReplyDeleteI absolutely LOVE, LOVE (did I say LOVE????) this card, Shawn! It looks so awesome and downright amazing! TFS how you created this!!
ReplyDeleteShawn, you make it look like it just takes a few minutes.....Well, it probably does with a inking pro like you, Honeybee!!! AWESOME WORK!
ReplyDeleteThe colors are beautiful. Re you question about the size of my book for Chris: it is 8 X 8. I see you're a Cynthia Rylant fan. She is from West Virginia. My sister (a retired 1st grade teacher) gave my kids an autographed copy of one of her books. Happy Friday!
ReplyDeleteI would love to hanging out under those palm trees...and see a sky that looked that colorful and pretty! LOVE the burlap netting! Sweet! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteLove it!! Great use of colors!! I say lets go there and grab some cabana boys to serve us drinks:)
ReplyDeleteThis is such a fun tag! BTW, do you have a tutorial for coloring with distress ink?
