Our wonderful sponsors this month are Sassy Studio Designs, Flying Unicorn Store, and SAMIAM Eye Candy Magic. Lots of awesome goodies to be given out for Challenge winners, so come play!
For the UNIQUE Challenge at Bella Creations, we used this video as inspiration to create a crepe paper embellishment~
Here is the Petaloo magnetic purse card I decorated using the ruffled crepe paper embellishment I made after watching this tutorial~
I sewed two parallel lines of stitching, pulled on the threads to gather the paper, and then placed a row of pearls down the center. I used Ranger Alcohol Ink to color the cameo orange. The other embellishments are from the Apothecary sticker sheet.
Here is an inside peek~
I made a pocket with three tags (for small photos, quotes or journaling), and did some stamping. There are small black & orange gems dangling from the ribbon handle.
Using a Sassy Studio image I created this next card by layering the image with some matted stamping~
I have a fun collection of tea themed stamps. Go figure!~lol~ I stamped & colored the jack o lantern teapot, then used my Marvy square punch. The gal enjoying her tea has a hat embellished with Stickles and Liquid Pearls. I also got to play with the Bella Creations October Kit to decorate a Studio K tag book.
I used the grungeboard house in the kit and embossed it with Tim Holtz Distress Powder to give it a spooky green color. The skeleton is also from the October Kit. I beaded the bats with Martha Stewart microbeads and Glossy Accents.
Here is a peek of the inside! There are die cuts, a skeleton key, flowers and library card from the Kit.(Kit link=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pO-JY1u9IQ4) I inked & punched the library card and made a horizontal pocket for it to slip inside. It has a list of some of our Halloween Favorites on it; things we like to do at this time of year. I used the Muse image from Bella Creations on the inside cover.
Hurrah! I got a new printer to use in my ScrapRoom so I do not have to walk downstairs with my laptop anymore! The Halloween invitation was one of the first images I printed.
Aren't these pumpkin fellows from Spooksville cute?
This mini album is filled with photos of our October activites. See you at Bella Creations :)
I am off to get a handfull of Indian Corn, Candy Corn's chocolately sidekick! Goes great with a hot cup of Chai Tea ~
