My friend Maggie sent me an altered journal the other day with a steampunk theme in rich teals and browns. What a nice surprise~ I love happy mail! Check out some of her creativity at her scrapbook gallery. To thank her I made a teabag card for her in vintage pinks and gold, with a touch of blue.
This little pocket card has pink roses, golden flowers and a chipboard butterfly painted blue on it. It also has pink eyelets, and I used a strip of torn fabric to tie it closed~ Nice combo of Old World and shabby chic, right? I used my Verve stamps and Distress Inks in Mustard Seed and Worn Lipstick.
Inside there are two teabags...I put it in the mail to her this morning.
I like that these little cards can hold gift cards as well as teabags. For my friends who drink loose tea, I place small ziploc bags of fragrant tea in the pockets :)
Speaking of loose tea, I just learned that Upton Tea
provides a service that is fun and unique! They will personalize a printed label when you order tea from them....what a wonderful touch to a gift!
These are teabags from my friend Leintje in the Netherlands. I am sharing them with others. Isn't it a small world?
Hugs and Hot Tea...Happy Easter! Rejoice~
