Remember the pocket cards I made a couple of weeks ago that held teabags? (see below)
I decided to make a Father's Day card with reds, which is one of my husband's favorite colors. For a tutorial and measurements see Tea With Alice. Instead of dividing the pocket into two sections, I left it as one longer slot so a gift card would fit inside.
- Basic Grey, Girls Paperie and DCWV card stock
- Barn Door Distress Ink
- CropADile and eyelets
- label maker and black tape
The greatest thing a father can do for his children is to love their mother.
My husband is thoughtful, selfless and generous. This quote was meant for him! College Girl also made him a card...but this one is for his silly side ~
Your pocket card is so special. Your husband is going to love it!!!
ReplyDeleteYour daughters card is so cute. I remember watching them every Sunday after church :)
Dee
You have nailed it again !!
ReplyDeleteLove a nicely orchestrated pocket and a gift card
really is the best solution.
I love it Shawn (especially the quote)
ReplyDeleteGreat quote on your Father's Day card, Shawn! Didn't "College Girl" make a cute card for her dad?!!!
ReplyDeleteWonderful, wonderful, wonderful!! I love how this turned out and I am going to try to work some more with brown/paper colours in stead of always pink and red liked colours, but this will be a challenge for me!
